Description :

Hi my real name is Michael hopkin and I am 19 and 20 at the start of next month. My Mc name is B.A.D MC and that stands for Born After Dark MC. I live in Birmingham and was born in London and moved here when I was 8 years old. I have been rapping for around 2 years now and at 1st I was only free styling on famous instrumentals and then after some mates and family telling me I am talented they encouraged me to get more serious and start rapping and making tracks and I have done 4 mixtape albums which was me rapping mainly bout things that have happened to me in the past and experiences I have been through and a bit about my relationships aswell. I have used famous instrumentals mainly to produce my mixtape albums but have used my own lyrics mainly to express and explain to people in words what I have been through i.e. the type of childhood I have had and problems. For the last year or so I have been mainly working on developing into a confident rapper and perfecting my lyrics and voice. I have recording studio experience for 3 or 4 tracks I have done in the past. Music or shall I say becoming a famous artist wasn’t my main dream from day one but since I was about 14 or 15 I have made it my priority to become one and give it my best shot. I lost my mother to cancer when I was 6 and my father died before that in the army while I was living in London so after my mum died I was took in by social services and took into foster care by a lady and her family for 2 years on short term placement and then took in by a lady living in Birmingham in her mid 40's with 3 children which meant I had to move to Birmingham and that changed my life and I had to adapt at the age of 8 and had a rough time 1st stealing from my foster mother and then going through secondary school 1st of all not knowing anyone so I was alone and then when I did make mates I was bullied from year 8 till year 11 when I ended school and also during that time I was bullied around my area for 4 or 5 years with out any of my family knowing and mates and was hit and thieved off almost everyday which I have tried to explain in some of my tracks which may have made close ones cry but truth needs to be told sometimes. And then after school I started taking rapping more seriously and like I sed earlier made 4 mixtape albums and I was addicted to rapping and listening to music. I am a open minded person when it comes to music and so I listen to all sorts of styles mainly hip hop, R&B, Rap, Garage and reggae but others aswell sometimes which helps me to come up with new ideas towards my music and recently I have become more creative and have begun to produce my own beats and rap on them. I am a very honest and loyal and committed individual and hard working. Since the start of the year I have focused on trying to get herd by professionals and also get opinions from any people and so far positive feedback is all I get which is a good sign but trying to get herd seems to be the hardest thing for me and I can only pray someone will hear me and show interest one day soon.
